Hi! I am Lynne, the founder of Family Engineered.
I am in my mid-30’s, married to a wonderful man and mother of one loving boy! We are a perfect little family of three with three crazy boxers! Never a dull moment around here! I never thought my life would be this crazy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Being a boy mom is the most frustrating and rewarding thing in the world. He keeps me on my toes and calls me on my crap! I love it! No guessing what my men are thinking here.
I am a full-time engineer working for at a research and development center and absolutely love my job! Surprisingly, I have discovered I am really good at helping people solve all kinds of problems and I really enjoy helping people grow and being the best they can. As an engineer, I never thought I would be a “people person.”
I have gone farther in my career than I ever thought possible and am still looking upward! I’ve repeatedly broken barriers in my company and am excited for all those I can bring along the way with me! In my house, we firmly believe in work-hard, play-hard; however, I have always said I work to live, not live to work.
I plan everything, like in an insane-everything-is-overplanned – ALL THE TIME kind of way. I literally get paralyzed when there is not a plan. I go as far as to plan our dinner meals months in advance and if that’s not the case, we go out to eat because I can’t decide what to cook.
I like organization almost as much as I like planning and really enjoy labeling where everything goes…my poor husband and son!!
I am most happy when hanging with my family or cutting up with friends.

I hope you find some tips that help make your crazy life a little easier.
My “Why”
I started Family Engineered to help others try to balance their life while succeeding at a career. I truly do believe you can have a meaningful career and have a great personal life. I don’t believe you have to sacrifice one for another. My goal is to help others succeed in “having it all.”
